Two monks, an old Elf named Ethelda and a Halfling called Tall Robert, have been summoned to the smog-choked town of Broomswallow. Carts of minerals from the mines are going missing and the duo needs to get to the bottom of who or what is causing it or else the town may draw the wrath of Baron Feston Rundle. As the group begins to learn the brief history of Broomswallow, they discover there are bigger problems than a few carts of missing gems.

Valtos and Nix must seek the assistance of Johnathan Blackear, the blind cleric. They need to use an arcane enchantment inverter to destroy an ancient artifact bound to Lady Izael, the Demi Lich. Can they destroy the artifact before they are destroyed themselves?

While having breakfast at the Wounded Rogue in Grimhaven, Nix receives a mysterious letter. The sender has some business to discuss over dinner, and seems to know a bit about the party's adventures. The duo return at night and meet a finely dressed Female Half-Orc named Karolin Threesilver. She sends them on an excursion to retrieve a package from a pirate vessel with no questions asked. However, Valtos and Nix find the situation is hairier than they bargained for!

92 year-old Wizard Valtos Firesong and a young Ashborn named Nix arrive at a festival. At first, all seems normal and the townsfolk are having a great time. However, soon things begin to unravel and it is up to the pair to get to the bottom of who's behind it.
