The Random Horror Show presents two films dealing with occultism. Set in the 40's Nightmare Alley is a down and out man name Stanley Carlisle whom learn the art from Zeena and her husband during the carnival. Soon he is the mastermind of clarvyonance using the tricks he aquired targeting the rich and wealthy. A mysterious woman Dr Lilith Ritter who holds vital information of the wealthy clients' deepest secrets during sessions makes a deal with Stan to swindle the rich and wealthy until his final "show" goes wrong. Cast a Deadly Spell set in the 40's in Los Angeles where magic is common. A P.I name Howard Philip Lovecraft (non magic user) is on the case of a missing book--The Necronomicon; hired by a wealthy scholar to retrieve the famous book with plans to open the gates of the ancient one Cthulhu on the full blood moon in the world. Lovecraft must save the world, battle his ex partner and a love triangle with his former flame. Film noir or neo-noir movies are always a first love due to the style, pacing and romanticism of the 40's.
