She switched from quarterback to receiver in another country because a teammate had a stronger arm. She chased flag football from Quebec to small-town Kansas and back home to Montreal, winning national titles along the way. Clara Beaudoin (Université de Montréal Carabins, Team Canada, HER, World Flag Series) joins Alex to talk about the identity shift from QB to receiver, the Carabins' run of national championships, her relationship with coach Rachel Lessard — who leads both her collegiate team and Team Canada — falling back in love with the game after missing this summer's national roster, and going pro with HER (Hustle Every Rep) in the World Flag Series, the new women's pro flag football league.

Brad Black played college football on both sides of the border: Moorhead State in Minnesota, and the University of Manitoba, capped off with a 2007 Vanier Cup title under longtime coach Brian Dobie. After a stint in the Arena Football League, he came home to Winnipeg and co-founded Recruit Ready, turning basement workouts with 10 high schoolers into a program that's now sent players to the NFL, CFL, NCAA and U Sports.
Alex sits down with Brad to talk about his own playing days, the real origin story of Recruit Ready and the players who've come through the program, including NFL defensive lineman David Onyemata, Blue Bombers receiver-turned-Recruit Ready-coach Nic Demski, Manitoba captain and CFL prospect A.K. Gassama, and Dolapo Egunjobi's winding path to UT Martin. They also dig into Recruit Ready's U.S. pipeline through Clearwater Academy, the next wave of prospects to watch and where Canadian football development is headed over the next five years.

Caroline Moquin-Joubert played two varsity sports at Concordia University at the same time — hockey and flag football — and made it to a national championship game five times across both. Now she's the captain of Team Canada's women's flag football team, coming off a third-place finish at the 2025 World Games in Chengdu, China.
In this episode of Double Major, Caroline talks with host Alex McComb about the reality of juggling two varsity programs and a double major, the culture she learned from Concordia hockey and carried into a growing flag football program, the injury that tested her, and the imposter feeling she had to work through the first time she wore the captain's letter.
She also talks about Canada's climb from 6th to 4th in the world flag football rankings, her longtime QB connection with Sara Parker and what's at stake this August in Düsseldorf, Germany, as Canada chases a berth in the LA 2028 Olympics.
