In Jordan in 2002, the murder of a seven-year-old boy shocked the community and led to an investigation filled with unexpected twists. Early on, suspicion centered on Ali, the brother-in-law of the victim’s neighbor, after police found seemingly incriminating evidence at the scene — his name, phone number, and even cigarette butts. However, the truth proved far darker. The actual killer was Iyad, the lover of Ali’s brother-in-law’s sister. He murdered the child and cleverly planted evidence to frame Ali so that he could eliminate his rival and pursue a relationship with Ali’s wife. Iyad even inserted himself into the search efforts, guiding volunteers to the boy’s body to appear helpful. His scheme unraveled when police caught him trying to visit Ali’s wife, which led to his confession and eventual conviction. This case became a striking example of calculated deception and betrayal.
