Doug Dieken is a native of Streator, IL and played 14 seasons as an OT with the Cleveland Browns from 1971-1984. He is currently the radio color analyst for Game Day for the Browns and was named Man of the Year in 1982. Doug is a member of several Hall of Fame organizations.
Doug talks about growing up in Streator, IL, his playing days at U of IL along with leading the charge to keep a football coach from being fired. How he found out he was drafted, transitioning from TE to OT and playing over 200 consecutive game for the Cleveland Browns.
We discuss his move to the radio booth, his broadcast partners, prep work for calling a game and what he did for three years when the team moved to Baltimore.
