Doug Henwood is an American journalist, economic analyst, author, and financial trader who writes frequently about economic affairs. He hosts 'Behind the News,' a weekly program on KPFA. Formerly, he published a newsletter, 'Left Business Observer,' that analyzed economics and politics from a left-wing perspective. He is the author of several books, including 'Wall Street,' (1997), 'After the New Economy,' (2003), and 'My Turn: Hilary Clinton Targets the Presidency,' (2016). His articles have appeared in 'Harper's Magazine,' 'The Nation,' 'The Village Voice,' and the 'Los Angeles Times.' Henwood is also a contributing editor at The Nation.
