Douglas Petrovich (Ph.D., M.A., Th.M., M.Div.) is professor of biblical history and exegesis at The Bible Seminary in Katy, Texas. He also serves as epigrapher for the Shiloh Excavations in Israel. His Ph.D. from the University of Toronto includes a major in Syro-Palestinian archaeology, a first minor in ancient Egyptian language, and a second minor in ancient Near Eastern religions. His research interests include biblical history and exegesis, Egyptology, and ancient Near Eastern history, including archaeology, epigraphy, chronology, and iconography. He served formerly as an assistant professor and the academic dean at Novosibirsk Biblical-Theological Seminary (Akademgorodok, Russia), as well as an associate professor and the vice president of academic affairs at Shepherd's Theological Seminary (Cary, North Carolina).
