Doug Smith is a very funny comic from New York. I met Doug over five years ago during my first weekend working at a club. Doug was the feature and I was the MC for Tommy Johnagin at Arlington Drafthouse. Since then Doug has gone on to do Conan on TBS and This Is Not Happening on Comedy Central. And I am the host of a podcast. So it makes perfect sense to record our conversation. In this episode Doug talks about his time as a Jehovah's Witness, getting and losing representation, and navigating the early stages of a comedy career.
