Down Home Cajun Music- Austin Pitre 1949-1956
Before his well known recording career with Floyd Soileau, Austin Pitre's recording career started with a one-off recording that was put out by 4 Star Records around 1949. The next year found him releasing records on the Crowley based label, Feature Records. He released two 78's with the label and didn't record again until the late 1950's. Then he returned on a vanity label released by JD Miller called French Hits. He released two records for that label as well.
