On June 22, 2025, Pastor Jon Delger preached from Matthew 6:9c as part of the “Down Home” series, focusing on the words “in heaven” from the Lord’s Prayer. He reminded us that when we pray, we’re not just speaking into the air—our words go straight to the throne room of God. Jon shared how important it is to remember that God is both near to us as our loving Father and far above us as our holy and powerful King. Because of that, we should come to Him in prayer with awe, with our hearts focused on Him, and with confidence that He hears us and has everything we need. Even when His answers don’t look like we expect, we can trust that He is good and knows what’s best.
