In this message from the Down Home series, Pastor Ryan Kimmel explored the depth of just four words from the Lord’s Prayer: “Pray then like this” (Matthew 6:9a). He explained that prayer is not vague meditation but direct communication with God. Jesus shows us who to pray to—the Father—while also affirming that prayer can involve all three persons of the Trinity. Pastor Ryan broke down each word, teaching that prayer should be persistent, guided by truth, and shaped by Jesus’ example. Christian prayer is both doctrinal and devotional—rooted in Scripture and flowing from the heart. Jesus doesn’t leave prayer open to personal preference; instead, He lovingly teaches us how to pray.
