Sermon Notes
Big Idea: When we don’t invite God to direct our paths, we will spiral, out of control, toward the darkness
1. God’s plan is rooted in relationship (Judges 1:1-26, Genesis 17:1-8)
2. God’s plan requires righteousness (Judges 1:27-34, Proverbs 3:5-6)
3. God’s plan restores through repentance (Judges 2:1, Matthew 23:37)
Epilogue:
Judges 21:25 - we live in a world where everyone does what is right in their own eyes, while God longs to draw you in - Jesus (Matthew 23:37)
Application:
What path are you walking? In a world where most seem to be resisting the relationally righteous, restorative hand of God, will you choose this day to follow Him?
If you have been off the beaten trail, will you repent?
