More than 50 cargo ships worldwide have been inactive for months due to Western sanctions following their transport of Russian oil.Since October 2023, 53 ships involved in Russian oil trade have faced sanctions from the U.S., U.K., and the European Union (EU). According to Bloomberg, citing data from ship-tracking firms, these vessels are now scattered across various locations, including the Baltic Sea, the Black Sea, Russia, China, South Korea, and the Suez Canal.
