For today, there is an entire class of Americans who face discrimination under the law, who are treated like property, and who are regarded by some as sub-human. They are held by our courts as unworthy of legal protection, just as the courts once held slaves. They are innocent of any wrongdoing, yet persecuted because of who they are.

Dr. Alveda King. She’s an activist, author, former state representative in the Georgia House of Representatives. She leads her own ministry that fights for civil rights that face society today. Dr. King is the daughter of civil rights activist DA King and niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, jr. She is also an Executive Producer on the unbelievably powerful movie on abortion, Roe vs. Wade. (And you will see her doing some acting in the movie)
