Starting with his experiences as an NCAA athlete (basketball) at Seattle University, Dr. Makinde has an extensive background in Sports Medicine and conditions involving active populations. Throughout his training and subsequent practice, he has worked with athletes of all ages and skill levels including work with Arizona State University, the University of Washington, the University of Utah, Seattle University, the Seattle Reign, and multiple high schools in the western United States.
He is currently a team physician at Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington and Lakeside School in Seattle, Washington. In addition to working with athletes, he treats individuals of all ages for conditions involving the musculoskeletal system (bones, ligaments, muscles, tendons), as well as back pain, concussion, and metabolic conditions involving those who are active or wish to be active.
After joining us on a podcast at the beginning of the world-wide pandemic, Bim joins us again with even further insight. We get into many thought-provoking areas including:
