Today we welcome Dr. Brent James back to the podcast for a spirited conversation about the values and failings of statistics in healthcare today. As always, Dr. James brings a very unique and storied pragmatism to the podcast. He has experience designing and implementing metrics that have been shown to actually improve patient outcomes and reduce costs. For those of you familiar with the topic, you’ll know that the vast majority of programs like this are either ineffective or actively counterproductive. Brent breaks these flaws and solutions down for us in an easily digestible and fascinating look into the internal workings of healthcare. 

It was a delight to hear his insights into healthcare’s continuing development, and his optimism is a breath of fresh air.
