Everyone knows that exercise is good for them but is it possible to get too much of a good thing? I happened to receive a copy of the book “The Magnesium Miracle” about a week ago and upon reading it was very, very impressed. I have ordered my first bottle of ReMag.
I am 81 years of age and kept very fit all my life by running 100 kms every week up and down the mountains where I live. In my 50’s I started running marathons (always in less than three hours) but in my 60’s I was forced to start bike riding because my knees had worn out. In my 70’s I engaged in four quite challenging bike rides for various charities in Cambodia, Vietnam, Mongolia, and Myanmar. Last year at age 80 I was starting to train for a 3,000 kilometre ride across Southern Australia with a friend and a group from his church when I was hit badly by A. Fib. which had bothered me with occasional episodes for some 20 years (once in the middle of Mongolia). However this episode last year didn’t go away as had the others and eventually it resulted in a heart disease called Idiopathic Cardiomyopathy which I am told is incurable. I was hospitalized and now have been advised by my cardiologist to avoid any strenuous exercise – a short bike ride or walk each day is all I am allowed to do.
