The most recent stress survey conducted by the American Psychological Association [APA] shows Americans are hanging in there - the overall average reported stress level of Americans being 4.9 in 2018 and 4.9 in 2019 on a scale where 1 means little or no stress and 10 means a great deal of stress. While average reported stress levels remain constant there continues to be a generational difference, with Gen Z adults reporting the highest average stress level (5.8), followed by Gen Xers (5.5), millennials (5.4), boomers (4.2) and older adults (3.0)*. At the same time, more Americans said that they experienced physical and emotional symptoms of stress in the prior month, health symptoms that the APA warns could have long-term consequences. Today\'s stress isn\'t the same as the stress experienced a generation ago and your children and grandchildren may require emotional and nutritional support. While dietary supplements cannot change the external circumstances that people face, proper nutrition and nutrient-dense whole food supplements can keep the body functioning at optimal performance even under stressful conditions. Magnesium, a vital mineral nutrient, is perhaps one of the most important natural stress remedies because of its effectiveness, record of safe use, availability and value.
