Dr. Danny Malone Jr. just completed his first year as an Assistant Professor of Criminology at Coastal Carolina University. Dr. Malone teaches sociology and criminology courses, helping develop the new criminal justice major, and becoming an active member of the CCU community. His previous position was at Coker University as an Assistant Professor of Sociology and Criminology where in six years he earned tenure and promotion to Associate Professor. His areas of expertise include demography, race/class/gender and criminology. Dr. Malone's teaching mantra comes from Dr. W.E.B DuBois: Education must not simply teach work—it must teach life.
