In the 2nd hour I will be joined by a first time guest, a whole hog BBQ expert AND a real life rocket scientist, Dr. Howard Conyers. After getting some barbecue background and chatting about his day job, we will start a conversation about how African American pitmasters have been left out of bbq history, and subsequently, the BBQ Hall of Fame. Dr. Conyers will give us his take on why this has happened and what might be able to be done to start correcting this issue. We will also talk about the stories that need to be told from BBQ's history.
