Dr. Ian Buchanan, Assistant Superintendent of Instruction in University City Schools (St. Louis), kicks off the series with fire. Dr. Buchanan demonstrates his in-depth knowledge about cultural and linguistic responsiveness (CLR), as we define it, with references from Billie Holiday to Tupac Shakur to Bayard Rustin and a very interesting story related to situational appropriateness.
