Back in Control with David Hanscom, MD

Dr. Ira Rashbaum’s Blueprint for Mind-Body Healing

Listen Later

In this follow-up episode, Dr. David Hanscom takes a dive deeper into Dr. Ira Rashbaum’s approach to treating chronic pain through mind-body medicine. Dr. Rashbaum, who worked alongside Dr. John Sarno for two decades, shares how he carefully diagnoses overlooked conditions, guides

patients through therapeutic education, group support, and journaling, and
addresses the emotional roots of pain—including rage and stress. He discusses success rates, the power of small-group meetings, and how his upcoming book and study guide will continue to help patients heal holistically. From back pain to tinnitus and even frozen shoulder, Dr. Rashbaum reveals how treating patients as whole human beings leads to lasting relief.
