Today we are joined by Dr James Walker, a KU graduate baseball pitcher who went on to play professionally for the Baltimore Orioles. James is a board-certified anesthesiologist who practices critical care medicine and neuro critical care medicine, both of which he is board certified. He runs the anesthesia residency program for the University of Kansas School of medicine in Wichita and is also the medical director of neuro-critical care and stroke at Ascension Via Christi Saint Francis Hospital.
