Publisher's Summary:
Penguin Classics presents Robert Louis Stevensons The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, adapted for listening and available as a digital audiobook as part of the Penguin English Library series. Read by the actor Richard E. Grant.
All human beings, as we meet them, are commingled out of good and evil: and Edward Hyde, alone in the ranks of mankind, was pure evil. Published as a shilling shocker, Robert Louis Stevensons dark psychological fantasy gave birth to the idea of the split personality. The story of respectable Dr Jekylls strange association with a damnable young man Edward Hyde; the hunt through fog-bound London for a killer; and the final revelation of Hydes true identity is a chilling exploration of humanitys basest capacity for evil.
Part of a series of vintage recordings taken from the Penguin Archives. Affordable, collectable, quality productions - perfect for on-the-go listening.

They've just got to be related!
This looks to be a re-release of an older cassette tape I once had from Penguin Classics. It was the unabridged version and so is this - incorrectly identified here, as abridged. I have listened to two other versions of the story and this one narrated by Jonathan Hyde is by far the best.
