Dr. Jillian Hernandez is a scholar, an author, community arts educator, and curator of contemporary art. Her areas of expertise include Black and Latina representation in visual culture, sexual politics, and girlhood.
She is a faculty member in the Center for Gender, Sexualities, and Women's Studies Research at the University of Florida. Her book is "Aesthetics of Excess: The Art and Politics of Black and Latina".
