In this episode we celebrate Dr. Kiran Modi. Dr. Kiran Modi is the founder and managing trustee of Udayan Care. Founded in 1994, Udayan Care runs innovative small group, family based children's home in India. In addition to this, they run education and livelihood programs for disadvantaged girls. They are the leaders in alternative care and after care of institutionalised children. Dr. Modi has a doctorate in American Literature. She is also the founding editor of an international journal, Institutionalised children, explorations and beyond.
