Join Marcella for a conversation with Dr. Lerita Coleman Brown, an embodied spirit, author, speaker, heart (1995) and kidney (2005) transplant recipient, former psychology professor who considers each day to be a walk of gratitude, trust, and hope. A graduate of the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation, she serves as a spiritual director/companion, retreat leader and encourages the pursuit of a spiritual life. Dr. Brown is author of the book: What Makes You Come Alive: A Spiritual Walk with Howard Thurman (2023). In this book Brown beckons readers into their own apprenticeship with Thurman and walks with us through Thurman’s inimitable life and commitments as he summons us into our own experience of God.
