Dr. Marzyeh Ghassemi will soon be part of MIT’s Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and its Institute for Medical Engineering and Science faculty. And she is quick to call out the lack of representation in the data we collect to build products and services across industries. Including for women, who are not a minority -- but an often ignored majority.  Currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto in Computer Science and Medicine and a Vector Institute faculty member holding a Canadian CIFAR AI Chair and Canada Research Chair, Marzyeh has no shortage of accolades or degrees. She is an Oxford alum, as a Marshall Scholar. She also has 3 kids.
