Dr. Michael Barrie is an emergency physician and advisor in simulation and virtual reality.

Michael continues to practice community emergency medicine full-time. He also works in the consulting world, where he is an advisor to Sim X VR, a company pioneering healthcare simulations using virtual reality technologies. His commentary is used to shape medical education. 

Interestingly, Michael is not physically located in Silicon Valley. His work is remote and started with his general interest in VR, a poster presentation at an emergency medicine conference,  networking, and being open to new opportunities.
