This interview done roundtable style with a diverse group of friends happened just before the national recognition of Juneteenth and it is probably one of the most impactful things I have been blessed to be a part of.
I was a baby intern at bUneke.org in 2021 when an email came across my desk. I am ashamed to say I knew nothing about Juneteenth but after hearing Dr. Opal Lee speak to our group I was not only educated but an instant fan of her and an honorary granddaughter. I am thankful every day that I not only took that internship but the opportunities like this I was opened up to by it. In doing so, Pup was born and the rest as they say is history.
