Description:

Today is a special one, an interview with a general surgery resident in NYC, a fellow classmate of mine and someone whom I have looked up to since medical school. Dr. Shinban Liu, Shinban is an Arizona native, a current senior surgical resident in NYC, an honorary family medicine resident, and one of the most kind-hearted people you will meet. Shinban went to college and medical school in Arizona then moved to NYC in residency. Shinban has a passion for anatomy and physiology and may be one of the most passionate surgeons I know, as you will tell from the episode. In this episode, we dive deep discussing his path to medicine, what it was like going to medical school with his brother, why he chose general surgery, how he transitioned from Arizona to New York City, and why he wants to continue working in minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery.
