Dr. Teresa Palos shares how being diagnosed with Scarlet Fever Inspired Passion for Microbiology
Dr. Teresa Palos is a passionate teacher at El Camino College in Torrance CA. I had the privilege of experiencing her Biology and Microbiology classes back in 2006 and am very grateful that I had the opportunity to take her class at a community college. I truly believe the quality of the education I got from her teaching was just as good, if not, better than any 4 year University education.
In this episode, she walks us through her science journey that lead her to her passion for teaching, which began with a diagnosis of Scarlet Fever 3 weeks before her High School Graduation.
I also share what I remember about her style of teaching that fueled my passion for Biology, Microbiology, and bacteria. She truly is one of the BEST teachers I ever had and I invited her on the show to have the opportunity to express my gratitude.
Thank you to all the teachers out there and people who work in the medical field for all the hard work you do, especially during the pandemic and thereafter!
