Dr. Valerie Scola grew up in Elkhart, IN, in a dental family. She worked alongside her mom in the front office during high school and college. Her father practiced dentistry for over 35 years. Dr. Scola earned her B.S. in Marketing and B.A. in Spanish from Butler University, in Indianapolis, IN.

After living in the San Francisco Bay Area for six years, she returned to Indiana to pursue a career in dentistry. She attended Indiana University School of Dentistry and graduated in 2011 with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She joined her father in practice for a short time, before the cold winters and weakened economy led her and her husband and four kids back to California. They settled in Murrieta, CA.

After a year in a DSO, Dr. Scola knew the corporate model wasn't for her. She purchased her practice in January, 2014. In 2015, she was honored to be selected as one of Incisal Edge Magazine's Top 40 Dentists Under 40. She was featured again in 2016 for an article about her 1965 Mustang Fastback and 2018 after speaking on a panel for the Lucy Hobbs Project, honoring women in dentistry.  

In 2017, Dr. Scola enrolled in the Essentials 1 Course at the Pankey Institute. The experience changed her life and set the tone for the future of her office. She continued through the Pankey curriculum and TMD course and began making a plan to free herself from insurance dependence. In January, 2024, she will officially be out of network with all plans, just in time for her 10th anniversary of practice ownership.

Dr. Scola is very active in the community. She drives her '65 Mustang every chance she gets and spends her free time with her husband, Austin, and their four children, Lila-18, Vincent-16, Helena-14, and Estella-12. They are active in their church and are involved in a variety of sports. She can often be found on the softball field as scorekeeper and team mom.
