Dr. Vigen Guroian was a Professor of Religious Studies in Orthodox Christianity at the University of Virginia. He has also written books on subjects ranging from theology to gardening to fairy tales. His book Tending the Heart of Virtue: How Classic Stories Awaken a Child's Moral Imagination was widely acclaimed and was featured on NPR'S Talk of the Nation. He has contributed more than 200 articles to journals, encyclopedias, magazines and newspapers. On this episode of the show, he talks with Doug about fairy tales and instructing children in virtue.
