LGBTQ culture is slowly but surely becoming more integrated into mainstream society in Japan, and it's heartening to see more people speaking out and bringing this important topic into the spotlight. I think that's wonderful news! Of course, there are diverse opinions on the matter, and it's clear that many still view sexual minorities as “different” in our society. LGBTQ文化は日本でも少しづつメインストリームに昇華されつつあり、当事者が声を上げ始めることでその存在がじょじょに明るみにでてきていると思います。とても良いことだと思うのですが、それにたいして色々な意見があるのも事実です。それはやはり、まだまだ、社会的には性的少数派は「異種的な存在」として扱われる傾向がまだまだ日本にはあると言うことだと思います。そんな中、この、東と西の魔女は四半世紀前からドラァグ文化を日本に根付かせた功績があります。LGBTQ活動の黎明期から支えているドラァグクイーンのパフォーマンスを見ることが出来て、とても嬉しかったです。これからもお元気でぇ～。
