Upon check-in at Foxcrest, Sir Davis decided to attach freelancer Eric Clayton to the team to assist recovery efforts. The investigative team proceeded to Watkin’s Books where they encountered Mr. Watkin’s, who was also largely uncooperative and also upon further inspection was selling counterfeit novels. The knowledge of counterfeits was relayed to local constabulary during transit to Mr. Kipps listed residence. Shortly after arrival at Mr. Kipps residence a group of the investigation team noted a similar vehicle as described by Mortlake faculty, but further investigation did not seem to provide any useful insight into the case besides tire marks indicating another vehicle of similar size was missing from the premises. The remaining portion of the investigative team noted the door to Mr. Kipps residence had clear signs of a break-in and they proceeded into the residence to ensure the safety of anyone inside. Unfortunately the investigative group encountered Mr. Kipps dead in his study, with signs of the cause f death being blunt force trauma. Mr. Kipps’ residence was filled with tools and memorabilia associated with novel forgery, rare books, and an address book of associates. Investigators collected evidence, which was later turned over and documented with Foxcrest Logistic Personnel.

During this time two strange men approached the investigative team and threatened them in efforts to halt progression with the case. The team followed this lead to Mr. Stamps residence where he was seen fleeing the scene in a vehicle also matching the description of the getaway vehicle as seen by Mortlake Faculty. A high speed pursuit then ensued with Mr. Stamp evading capture but ending at Mortlake.
