This week Heaven does an overview of how sex work is depicted in film from good representation to downright ugly and degrading. Heaven discusses what certain films think about sex work, how it oftentimes stereotyped as being easy work without taking into account how it requires both physical and emotional labor, as well as stigmatized because of the type of work that is done. Heaven also goes into how sex work is like any other job that requires the same amount of protections as any other industry, and ties in with the current labor movement and the climate of unionizations at major corporations such as Amazon and Starbucks.
