Drakes is an independent brewery with mad respect from me. They do cool stuff for the community, for beer lovers and for the beer community.

They are outta San Leandro and opened a spot called “THE BARN” in West Sacramento, which is a superman’s stone throw from my house.

I try the 4.5% abv Flyway PILSner beer in this episode, which is 43 IBU’s and pretty freshly canned (one month prior to this tasting).

I also drink Deschutes Fresh Haze IPA which is a 6.5% beer. It is a hazy IPA which I am sure is inspired from their famous Fresh Squeezed IPA, but hazy. I have had this beer before, I remember it being hella good.

They are an independent brewery outta Bend, Oregon. That’s like hella north west on the map at Oregon. They do some super cool sustainable stuff like save water and prevent pollution.

They also have a brewpub in Portland. I want to visit that one or the Bend one. I’ll probably wear skinny jeans, a lumberjack flannel and half mast beanie on my head to fit in (probably not) the hippie/hipster/green vibe images that conjure in my mind. Needless to say, I would like to go to one of their locations and drink their beer.
