Volke manages to save the children and the griffin cub and gets them back to West Landin in time for the Trial of Worth Ceremony. Volke goes and takes a dip in a lucky spring but what happens afterwards is leaving Volke unsure if the spring really does bring him luck. Almost immediately he runs into a pirate arcanist and gets a pretty nasty bite from his eldrin.
