Dream, vision, and Goal In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps. - Proverbs 16:9

Why do we need a vision? Usually, when God speaks he doesn’t speak about our current situation. He speaks about our future.
- Ex. Gideon on judges 6:12 - mighty warrior
- Genesis 12 – He doesn’t state Abraham's situation.
Genesis 15:5 - He took him outside and said, “Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”
3 questions to ask when setting a goal
- Will this goal honor God?
- Is this goal motivated by love?
- 3. will this goal require depending on God?
