Through all the storms...
A story that captures the essence of early Australian life, well done Parris. I thoroughly enjoyed the depth and breadth of the detail poured into this story. Sent from England for illegitimate reasons, Amber was determined to survive the depravities inflicted on her. In conditions we currently would struggle to comprehend the characters were driven forward to regain some semblance of a life. This struggle is depicted in great detail throughout the story. I have enjoyed this book enormously and look forward to reading more from Parris Afton Bonds.
I loved it!
I can't believe I've never read this author. The type of epic storytelling that stays with you long after you stop reading. Not your typical formulaic romance that leaves a lot to be desired. I looking forward to more, including the next installment in this Dreamtime series.

Really enjoyed this story. Could not stop reading. Outstanding writing. Loved the characters. A must read for anyone enjoying historical romance. A lesson on how Australia revolved and the hardships of the people who lived there during this era.
Excellent
A good description of the struggles of AUstralia 's immigrant s and the hardships they endured. An interesting account of the people and their lives and loves, their disappointments and successes in this unfriendly environment. These were hardy people.

Wonderful accounting of prisoners occupation in Australia and how it became a bounty of resourceful sheep stations in the Outback. Clever plotting ,scheming and romance abounds.
