Layered guitars, droning synths & heavy reverb collectively create a dense, hazy texture & that density of "Cascades" evokes the feeling of being underwater; where the sounds seems to move around you rather than directly at you.

Both lyrically & musically Dexy & Chris were inspired by water on this album & listening to it from start to finish will leave you feeling utterly submerged.
