The Lonely Edges

Drew Rozell: The Lonely Edges of Life Coaching

Listen Later

Drew Rozell is a no-BS coach (for writing books and life in general) who follows his own path, takes the consequences, and doesn't apologize for it.  He's written several books (I particularly enjoyed Let It Go) and is a master at helping people know what they really want, what they really want to say, and how to go for it.

We address these particular lonely edges:

  • Being around others when it's time to be alone
  • Having insights that people are not ready to hear
  • Expressing yourself
  • Following a career path that feels good but doesn't look good
  • Life coaching as a profession
  • Writing a non-fiction book that focuses on a specific audience
  • Following your truth, no matter what, even if it seems strange to others

Drew Rozell's Bio:
Drew lives with his family in rural upstate New York, right on the border of Vermont. His Ph.D. is in social psychology from Syracuse University. He transitioned to coaching while in his mid-20’s while still in grad school. Been doing it ever since. It’s been a rewarding way to make a living.

He has two children, a boy and girl, a dog and a bunch of cats (wife’s idea). He loves to ski (usually get 30+ days in a year), he loves music (and plays a little guitar), camping, kayaking — really anything that gets him outdoors. He’s usually in a pretty good mood, but he admits that his temper can run short.  He practices what he preaches in his books, but he tries not to take any of it too seriously.  He has more practical attraction books to write, but he is also writing some fiction with plans for a series.  Life is supposed to be fun. That’s the whole point.
