August 31, 2014Show 65: August 29, 2014 with Cherax Destructor, 1-800-666-DRIP, Mythic Beat, Supersymmetries
Our friends are always there for us, and that will never be more obvious than it was tonight. For the last show of the season, I gathered together four good friends and had them do some guest mixes to help us celebrate in style! First, Australian singer/songwriter/producer Cherax Destructor starts us off with a mix full of good ol’ pop stuff. Next off, Jheri Evans, under his 1-800-666-DRIP moniker, brings up the volume with a mix full of juke, trap, R&B, and even some of that cool PC Music stuff. DJ Mythos of Mythic Beat calms things down with a set of some finely chilled downtempo grooves. Finally, Bunny from Supersymmetries (and co-owner of label Aural Sects) weaves a tale of two music empires in a very chaotic, very powerful mix that’s half music, half radio drama. None of these are to be missed. Grab a listen above, or find a download below:

August 09, 2014Show 62: August 1, 2014 with guest Bewilderbeast
This week, something’s a little bit weird. But I can’t exactly put my finger on what. Does my voice sound a little bit funny? Maybe it’s just these songs - they’re unusual in the best of ways, as the best ones tend to be. Speaking of “the best”, the artist of one of my favorite albums of last year (and one of my favorites of this year so far as well) is joining us - Bewilderbeast brings us a wonderful guest mix that stops just about everywhere from Sun City Girls to Blondes to Charles Manson. He makes it work, too! Dude’s got chops.
And me? Well, I’ve got Bewilderbeast’s new single, Anyway - wouldn’t be a show with Bewilderbeast without his new single, would it? I’ve also got new stuff from Alfred English, TOKiMONSTA, and Dark Sky, as well as more great stuff from Taylor McFerrin, Fallgrapp, LLLL, Ramona Lisa and a ton more. July 26, 2014Show 61: July 25, 2014 with guest Su na
This week, we’re just gonna relax for a bit. There’s no big emotional sweeps, no story, just some music you can lie down on the bed and snooze to. I felt like this was exactly what I needed after last week’s show. Su na joins us too, and he’s got a great little guest mix that fits in kind of nicely, with a few things from the vaporwave crowd and a few things from some of the more west-coasty beat scene crowd. Plus, he’s got a new one of his, from a new EP that’s out today on Flow-Fi which you have to check out.
Myself, I’ve got some new tunes from Selva Oscura, Groundislava, Slugabed, and Arms and Sleepers, and some more recent and older things from Flamingosis, Teeth, Pilotpriest, Nmesh and a lot more! Take a listen above, or download below:
