SUV station wagons and compacts... Drive it! tests which cars are best for everyday driving.Present it: SEAT AtecaSEAT has debuted its first SUV, the Ateca. That means every brand in the Volkswagen group now has at least one SUV on offer. The entry-level model costs under €20,000 in Germany, and that is an extremely competitive price for a very accomplished vehicle that also looks good.Examine it: Mercedes E-class T modelMercedes is celebrating the world premiere of the T model of the sixth generation in the E class. On board is plenty of modern electronics to make driving safer and more comfortable. For people shopping for a station wagon, trunk space is an important factor. And the new E class has 640 liters for normal transport.If you put down the back seats and stuff luggage to the roof, you have 1,820 liters -- a little less than in the predecessor model, but that's the trade-off for a slimmer, sportier exterior.
Taste it: Car seats aren’t all comfortable - what makes the difference?Opel takes back-friendly seats seriously, even in the compact class. What could provide more contrast than the seats in a soccer stadium?Automotive journalist Michelle Assenmacher tested a stadium seat, and then the ergonomic seats in the new Opel Astra, which have been commended by the Aktion Gesunder Rücken, a German organization devoted to back and spine health. A new massage function in the seat relaxes the driver's back muscles.
