Light’s Out, and Away we Go! Jill and Mel explain the reason behind starting with Season 3, their racing background/knowledge, and how Drive To Survive introduced them into the world of Formula 1 racing. They speed head-first into the drama between race teams, team principals, and drivers of one of the world’s most exciting motorsports.
Season 3 of DTS covers the 2020 F1 season. Jill explains some F1 basics and rules and some things to remember about how DTS is edited and how the episodes are presented. Jill and Mel plan to keep this surface-level discussion of F1 because they are both relatively new F1 fans and there are so many things to consider, engineering, tire strategy, etc. that are extremely complicated.
Mel and Jill go through each episode, discussing the highs and lows. Their favorite drivers are team principles. Who’s the villain? Who’s the hero? Who wins the World Championship and the Constructor’s Cup?
