A 31-year-old driver crashed an out-of-control ute into a power pole in Bedfield, Sydney's south-west, bringing down power lines. The driver escaped injury but allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading more than three times the legal limit. He immediately lost his licence and has been charged with high-range drink driving, with court proceedings to follow.
