The use of spiritual gifts is meant to serve one another and build up the church in the here and now. We won't need spiritual gifts when Christ comes back because we'll be perfected and united in love with Jesus and each other.

Agape love is unconditional, selfless, and sacrificial. It is a love that focuses on the needs of others and puts aside our own needs and desires. This means that we have to be willing to surrender to God's will. The strength we receive from abiding in Christ enables us to love beyond our own limited capacity and to love as God does.
