This week we discuss the Royals’ Trade Deadline, or rather, lack of trades that happened. We like what we got from the trades we made, but it seemed like they left some at the table. Lane Thomas, Bailey Falter, and Kris Bubic being the only subtractions means there’s a few impending free agents they didn’t take advantage of. 

They were unwilling to move Seth Lugo and Michael Wacha to compete next year…Which we understand Wacha, but Lugo? Jackson plays devils’s advocate to see what could happen due to them keeping both arms. Overall, just an underwhelming deadline for a handful of reasons. We're back with a new one after a brief hiatus. We're checking in at the ASG with the Royals, as they are in the middle of one of their worst seasons in memory. Especially given the expectations. Bobby Witt Jr and Michael Wacha are the Royal All-Stars in 2026, and Jac Caglianone put on a respectable performance in the Home Run Derby. We have our thoughts from the first half, Carter and Cags ascension, and the 2026 MLB Draft, as there were some people not too happy with the Royals decisions, although we liked a couple things they did. This week, we chat the Royals taking the first couple games of the series from Detroit, while Bobby Witt Jr. wore the superman cape with an inside the park home run to electrify the city. They weren't able to take the finale to really step on the throat though, and Matt discusses how this team hasn't shown they can do that when called upon. Michael Wacha has been incredible amongst an up and down season. As they just keep falling short: a dramatic moment, risky error, they keep drowning. We wonder how competitive this team can be if they're struggling against Chicago as well. Because you need to win the games you're supposed to win. This week, we break down the Royals completing their first sweep of the 2026 season (it's about time), they've won four straight, and the offense is finally starting to break out of the slumps of April. The bullpen has been horrific, but we don't think they're utterly useless, as we think they were dealt a bad hand to start the season. This week, we see how the tables turned in the 2026 NFL draft. The Chiefs made some fun moves, trading up to get CB Mansoor Delane, sticking and picking to get Peter Woods, and added a much needed EDGE in R Mason Thomas. We break down every single pick for the Chiefs in this draft and don't skimp on the details. Put it on for a second, an hour, some time, and you will get a breakdown of each player selected by the Chiefs. Matt really likes the Emmett Johnson pick in the 5th, we see who they might have missed out on, and see how every single one of these picks is going to contribute in some way to another Chiefs championship.

The worst record in Major League Baseball belongs to the Kansas City Royals. What a time to be alive in 2026. We chat the inconsistencies on this club and what the actual hell is going on. Salvador Perez seems to be clashing with leadership and that does not happen, the offense has been abysmal, some stars won’t produce, we keep losing to winning teams and so much more. Jac Caglianone is hitting but where’d the power go? These guys can pitch but you look at just about every other aspect and they are being let down. This week, the guys are back talking the NFL draft, specifically what the Chiefs have at their disposal. Matt breaks down who he thinks the Chiefs should pick with the #9 pick, the options they have, and how the board may fall. Jackson has a position that might surprise some Chiefs fans, as he thinks they might look for a weapon for Pat Mahomes to play with. There are a couple of guys that might fall, and the Chiefs are in a position to not mess this up. They need to capitalize on two firsts with Mahomes as this could be the last time that happens. The Starting rotation has been nails to start the season, we have some bullpen outings that haven't been amazing. But, we have Kyle Isbel producing like Barry Bonds, Jac Caglianone has got off to a solid start, and Carter Jensen slept in. The bottom of the order is hitting when the top just cannot.
