Melissa Hadley started our journey of Dropping the Ball with the PRICELESS reminder to stand strong in our faith!
It was a no brainer bringing her back to discuss the evolution of her health journey - nutrition and personal training certifications, health coach, and now Cycle Syncing certification!
The timing couldn't be better for me, personally, as I start this discovery into what it means to honor MY body and MY unique cycle while still staying consistent in my health goals.
Melissa will talk about her course, 57 Simple, as well as Cycle Syncing. You can visit her website, www.MelissaHadley.com or reach out to her on IG @melissa.hadley.fitwithms. Also, tune into The Healthy Connection Podcast to hear from her in more depth!
"Bloom where you're planted!" (derives from 1 Corinthians 7:20)
"Be where you're feet are." (Facebook post by Amy Betters-Midtvedt)
"Keep your head where your ass is!" (A friend's father's take on the above phrases that cracked me up!)
These phrases were ALL in my face this week - practically within the same DAY! My trainer expressed a similar sentiment. My conversations with my children centered around this idea. Bottom line - I couldn't hide from the fact that while MY ENTIRE REDESIGN was meant to be PRESENT in the moments I was missing, I have recently felt that I'm slipping back to constantly chasing the next accomplishment - the next project completion.
Why do I (we) do this to myself (ourselves)? I really don't know. Is it society? Upbringing? Am I hardwired this way?
Regardless of the answer, this is my URGENT REMINDER TO YOU to STOP, slow down, breathe in, and be grateful for whatever place you find yourself in right now. Right, wrong, or indifferent.
THIS. IS. A. GLASS. BALL.

When it comes to self care, people fall into two categories - 1) People who still really don't know a thing about it, or 2) People who feel they have it all figured out.
I'm pretty certain I never have ANYTHING all figured out! So the intentions behind this episode is to give you a clear view of how I'VE come to define self-care, be able to distinguish between activities that SERVE me, and ones that just - don't...regardless of what people may say self care is.
One thing it's NOT? A ONE SIZE FITS ALL approach to caring for yourself!
Tune in; I assure you - some misconceptions will be tested, and you'll have a clear view (and plan) for securing some self-care fit for YOU!

It's weird how one little thought turns into coming across some helpful information - then falling into a rabbit hole about said info, and learning a TON!
Magnesium supplementation to help out my hormonal changes is that little thought for me this week, so I figured I'd share it with you!
Look into it for yourself, check with your providers to see if it may help out, and let me know anything else you may find out in addition to what I share today!
